SouthWest Airedale Terrier Rescue Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

Do you have a strong sense of humor?
Yes No
Are you a patient person?
Yes No
How about your husband / wife / spouse / significant other (if you have one)?
Yes No
There's only me

If you answered “yes” to all of the above questions, please continue. If not, you can save yourself a lot of time and aggravation by looking elsewhere for a new companion.

Do you or your husband / wife / spouse / significant other get upset if a person / child / dog fails to respond instantly to orders / commands / suggestions / requests?
Yes No

If you answered “yes” to this question, a rescued Airedale is probably not the best companion for you.

Happy owners of rescued Airedales are a diverse group, but what most have in common is a sense of humor, lots of patience and flexibility. They are firm, but loving, and have a relaxed and casual attitude towards people and animals. If that describes you and the others in your household, we may have the perfect companion for you and invite you to complete our questionnaire to see if we can make a match.

If, on the other hand, someone in your household insists that things be done NOW, gets upset if they don't have a perfectly arranged house and manicured yard, or have a very strong image of exactly how your new companion must act, we urge you to look elsewhere for a four-footed companion.

The questions below are meant to help us match the right Airedale Terrier to your particular lifestyle - there are no "right" or "wrong" answers. Some Airedales we rescue are great with kids, some better with just adults; some do well with other animals, some need to be only dogs. Your answers will help us find an Airedale that fits your circumstances. Please be as specific as possible and answer all questions as completely and truthfully as you can. It helps us to help you!

Please use the following drop down list to click and highlight your area - then proceed with the questionnaire.  The Coordinators in your area will be the recipients of your completed questionnaire and will share it with the other SWAT coordinators.

STOP:   Please don't proceed without clicking on the menu shown above to highlight your area.
